This Privacy Policy explains how Freshly Inked ("Freshly Inked," "we," "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use freshlyinkedmag.com (the "Site"). By using the Site you agree to this policy.

Who This Applies To

We serve two groups: tattoo artists who create profiles and accept booking requests, and tattoo seekers who browse artists, save favorites, and submit booking inquiries. Different information is collected depending on how you use the Site.

Information We Collect

Artist accounts

• Name, email address, and password when you register.
• Profile details you choose to publish: display name, studio, location, country, styles, bio, Instagram, portfolio images, and booking status.
• Subscription and billing status (payment card details are handled by our third-party payment processor, not stored by us).

Tattoo seekers

• Booking inquiries: your name, email, phone number, project details, and any reference photo you upload when you request to book an artist. A one-time verification code is emailed to confirm your address.
• Reviews: your name and email (for verification) and the review content you submit.
• Saved artists (wishlist): your list of saved artists is stored only in your own browser (local storage). We do not require an account and do not receive your saved list. When you save an artist, we record an anonymous, non-identifying count so artists can see how many people saved them; this is tied to a hashed session identifier, not to your name or email.
• Newsletter: your email address, if you choose to subscribe.

Automatically collected

• Basic analytics such as profile views, Instagram click-throughs, approximate session duration, IP address, and device/browser information.
• Cookies and similar technologies (see Cookies below).

How We Use Information

• To operate the artist directory, profiles, booking, reviews, and subscriptions.
• To deliver booking and review verification codes and to notify artists of new bookings and reviews.
• To process artist subscription payments.
• To send transactional and, where you have opted in, marketing emails.
• To measure and improve the Site and show artists analytics about their profiles.
• To prevent fraud, enforce our terms, and comply with the law.

Third-Party Services

We share information only as needed with trusted service providers that help us operate the Site. These providers act on our behalf and are limited to the data necessary for their role:

• Payment processing — to handle artist subscription payments. Your card details are processed by the provider under its own privacy policy and are not stored by us.
• Email delivery — to send transactional and, where you opt in, marketing email, and to manage email contact lists.
• Location services — to look up cities and places during profile setup.
• Content analysis — to automatically classify tattoo image styles for search (image content only; not your personal data).
• Hosting, content delivery & security — to serve the Site reliably and protect it from abuse.

We do not sell your personal information.

Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep the Site working (sessions, security) and, with your consent, analytics and marketing cookies. You can manage non-essential cookies through the cookie banner. Your saved-artist wishlist uses your browser's local storage rather than cookies and stays on your device.

Data Retention

We keep account and profile data while your account is active. Booking inquiries, reviews, and analytics are retained as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law. You can ask us to delete your data (see Contact).

Your Choices & Rights

• Access, correct, or delete your account and profile information.
• Unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time via the link in those emails.
• Clear your saved-artist list at any time by clearing it in your browser.
• Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA. Contact us to exercise them.

Children

The Site is intended for adults. Tattoo services are age-restricted, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
