Paws for a Cause: How this Tattoo Shop is Helping Animals
Here's a new reason to get a tattoo: knowing that tattoo you just bought will help dogs in need. Empire of Ink started fundraising opportunity, with proceeds going to Out of the Ashes Pit Bull Rescue. For each client that came in to get a one-inch-by-once-inch paw print tattoo for $25 dollars, that money was donated. Shop owner John Rheaume says the tattoos are a gesture of love and loyalty that the dogs and their owners share with each other.
There was a line of people out the door every day throughout the whole week. All of our artists worked very hard to do as many as they could each day. The Paws for Pits event ran during the last week of March. We were able to raise $5,089.50 for this organization that is very dear to our hearts. Tattoo Artist Dani Neske said, "They're just like any other dogs. They've got great, great compassion. They just get a bad rap." Empire puts on several different events throughout the year to try and help out the community. You can follow us on Facebook at The Empire of Ink Tattoo and Piercing for our upcoming events.
