Freshly Inked Goes to the Oddities and Curiosities Expo

The Oddities and Curiosities Expo was a day of amusement, excitement, and enchanting weirdness. We saw some mind-bending performances and scoped out truly one of a kind pieces. Here's our "fresh" take on this extraordinary event.

The vendors had items such as Taxidermy, preserved specimens, odd antiques, original art, horror/Halloween items, crafted oddities, curiosities, and all-around strange and bizarre items.

Dressing up was encouraged and we saw the majority of people decked out in creative costumes.

This event, believe it or not, offering a family-friendly experience (depending on the child). There were a lot of clowns that some adults would even be afraid of.

Families can come and enjoy their day together, one of the biggest kid-friendly attractions was face painters and stilt walkers.

Sideshow performance took place all throughout the day, that's how we met the lovely "pin-cushion" as photographed above.

Crowd members 18 and older had the chance to try Professional Suspension offered by: Rexx Body Modification

They require all vendors to source their specimens through ethical routes. They do their best to ensure all items you see at the shows come from sustainable sources and no animals were harmed for the sake of art.

Did you miss it? Good news, this event takes place all over the U.S. check out their website to find an upcoming event near you!
