He was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona, and his music career started at the age of 17. He was in two bands before Linkin Park and contemplated giving up music before starting as the vocalist in Linkin Park.
Aside from being a music-lover, he was also an animal-lover. He admitted in an interview his house was more like a farmhouse, he had cats, dogs, chickens, pigs, and even a couple of goats.
He overcame being bullied throughout school and was open about his struggles with depression, wanting to inspire others to share their stories.

"Someone in your family may be going through a life change that causes you to look at yourself differently. Embrace the educational opportunities the experience offers, and try not to get too caught up in the emotion of it all. Your ties with your family have been looser than you may like, but they're tightening more and more as each day passes. Make a plan to get together and tell old embarrassing stories. Remind yourself how much fun it can be to laugh until you cry."

"As enlightened as it may be to be open-minded and accepting of all different ways of doing things, at a certain point in any decision-making process, you have to pick one way and go with it. Do not fear that by choosing a route you are negating all the others. Today, narrow down your options and keep in mind that there's no such thing as "right" or "wrong" in this instance. It's just a matter of figuring out what is right for you. People will respect your choice. They'll have to."

"It's only natural that a past relationship would enter your mind as you embark upon a new one. The similarities and the contrasts are just as striking. But are you letting the past cast too heavy a shadow over your present? You have to see this person for who they are, not for who they aren't. Your role in a partnership is something you have to be willing to adjust right now. To keep things progressing, you might have to start being more forceful."

"You could be making incredible progress in a business deal right now, but you'll have to be careful not to push things too far too fast. Not everyone is on the same page as you right now, and you must be aware of that. Plus, there is a bit of instability around you right now (it's nothing to be concerned about) that could put you off track for a few days if you aren't prudent in your actions. "No one else can give you confidence. It's something only you can give yourself. And you could get a great opportunity to do just that today! Past failure is waiting to be rectified, so when you get a chance for a do-over, grab it! Being able to fight back after a loss is something you can do with grace and fire, so why not give it a try? Once bitten, but never shy—that should be your motto! People take notice of those who don't let one mistake slow them down."

Cut out what isn't working, what doesn't feel right, and what isn't flattering. This could include something as simple as a pair of old shoes or as complicated as a romantic partner who just doesn't have their heart in the relationship. Toss it to the curb and walk away without looking back!"

"Bravado can go quite a long way toward putting you in a very commanding situation right now, so don't be afraid to bluff a little. No one knows for sure which cards you're holding, so why shouldn't they feel a little intimidated by your awesomeness? Work the mystery to your advantage. Any power struggles aren't going to be a real challenge for you, because deep down you know that you have all the answers (or at least you should act as you do)."

Seeing things from the perspective of someone who is in turmoil can help you take stock of what's going on in your life, too. This is a day for exchanging ideas in a safe, open environment. By the end of the day, the pace around you will match your mood: contemplative and quiet."

"The way you respect other people's privacy is admirable, but it could be limiting your opportunities. Don't be afraid to talk to the people around you about getting what you want. They're there to help you get things started. Managing your finances is a task that's making its way back onto the agenda big time, and you could get some fresh ideas from some surprising sources."

"When you're having fun, everything is painless, including sacrifice. Be careful if someone approaches you to make a business offer you can't refuse. You can refuse—and you should refuse. In 1979, Alfred Hitchcock became the 7th recipient of the American Film Institute's Life Achievement Award.
Tattoo by: Tat2sam
The most constant image in Hitchcock’s films seems to be Hitchcock's own image. He perfected the art of the cameo, making blink-and-you’ll-miss-them appearances in over 30 of his own films.

Hitchcock was knighted by Queen Elizabeth II in 1980 and received numerous honors for his work. When he received an honorary lifetime achievement Oscar in 1967, he gave one of the shortest acceptance speeches in the ceremony’s history, saying, “Thank you…very much indeed.”
Tattoo by: Nikita Kuzmenko
He wasn't afraid to push the limits when he came to censor guidelines. Hitchcock spent most of his career pushing restrictions in the industry that regulated the content of Hollywood films. He figured out strategies to get around some of the rules. For instance, while filming Psycho the censors asked him to reshoot the sexually suggestive opening and Hitchcock claimed he didn’t understand their request and needed them to personally join him on set and give instructions. The bit worked because when the censors didn’t show the director was able to leave the scene unchanged.

Polar bears are mostly solitary creatures but they sometimes hang out in groups called sleuths. Polar bears also have an excellent memory and are able to remember other bears they've met before!

Polar Bears International suggests a few ways that the day can be observed. First, they suggest people take a pledge for action to be taken on the climate. They then recommend taking a "thermostat challenge" to reduce carbon emissions that are aiding the endangerment of polar bears. The challenge can be done by turning down the thermostat for the day, and by buying a programmable thermostat or taking other measures to reduce carbon consumption year-round. The less energy that is used from carbon-based fuels, the fewer carbon emissions there will be, which will slow global warming.

According to a recent survey by the Vegetarian Resource Group, veganism is on the rise. More restaurants and fast food establishments around the world are making it easier to find options for vegan diets. And even in the tattoo industry, Vegan Tattoo Studios is making it easier to find vegan-friendly tattoo artists, connecting users to more than 200 vegan tattoo artists.
Founded by Olga Miller and launched this last summer, Vegan Tattoo Studios makes it as simple as typing in your city and country to find a vegan artist near you. Olga Miller hails from Kiev, Ukraine and originally used a Facebook group to help match tattoo clients with artists. The Vegan Tattoos Facebook group also was a way for members to get ideas for animal-rights inspired tattoos.
Veganism has proven to be much more than a trend and has shown lifelong health benefits seeing as vegan diets focus primarily on fruits, vegetables, nuts, and whole grains. Without animal-based products also means a decrease in saturated and trans fat, reducing the risk of health-related problems.
The bigger picture - going vegan can help more than just your waistband, it can actually help the environment. The production of animal-based foods creates twice as much greenhouse gas emissions than the production of plant-based foods. Meat-based diets use more resources like land, water, and energy to produce food while vegan diets don't require as much cropland.

The science behind the ink
When the style was originally formulated, artists used ink solutions that contained phosphorus in addition to traditional pigments. But because of phosphorus being a carcinogen that caused a number of skin reactions this technique was deemed unsafe. Now, artists avoid ink containing the highly toxic chemical due to its dangerous nature. (Go figure). So, glow-in-the-dark tattoos didn't get off to a great start, but since then artists have taken strives to make these cool tattoos are safer. To replace the chemically dangerous pigments, glow-in-the-dark tattoos are now created using ink that's reactive to UV light. (Yay science!)
Tattoo by: Cheshire UK Tattoo artist Damo
Research never hurts
Before you set up your appointment for that psychedelic glow tattoo remember it’s important to do research before going to get your own tattoo. While most tattoo shops have switched to the new and exciting light-reactive ink, the presence of phosphorus is still possible (it depends on the artist and what ink they select). So, have a talk with your artist first and don't be afraid to ask questions. Also after getting your tattoo be on the lookout for any prolonged swelling, rashes, and burning - just in case. And be sure you find an artist with a lot of glow-in-the-dark tattooing experience.

It's unclear how 'Friday the 13th' started exactly. One legend suspects the fear can be traced back to a myth about 12 Gods that attended a dinner that was interrupted by a 13th guest, Loki, the God of mischief and lead to the death of another hero.
What do you think about this urban legend? We wouldn't mind having Tom Hiddleston interrupt our dinner. Comment below!

among many cultures, the number 12 emerged throughout history as a "complete" number: There are 12 months in a year, 12 signs of the zodiac, 12 Gods of Olympus, 12 sons of Odin, 12 labors of Hercules, 12 Jyotirlingas or Hindu shrines where Shiva is worshipped, 12 successors of Muhammad in Shia Islam, and 12 tribes of Israel.

The Separation
According to Deadline the dispute between the two companies (Marvel Studios and Sony Entertainment) means Marvel Studios President, Kevin Feige, won't produce any more Spider-Man films.
Tattoo by: Mary Elisabeth Tattoo
Disney's Apprehension Towards Kevin
A Sony rep confirmed Disney's hesitation to have Kevin Feige serve as a producer/president on a Sony-led Spider-Man movie going forward, adding to the issue (despite Feige's previous experience with massively successful Marvel Cinematic Universe movies).

Crowd Backlash
Fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe are reasonably upset over Spider-Man parting ways with the franchise and Marvel actors are right behind them, including Jeremy Renner and Ryan Reynolds.
Tattoo by: Brent Goudie
50/50
Sources explained the issue started out because Disney was seeking the 50/50 co-fi stake as the price for Marvel and Feige’s continued guiding hand that resulted in the delivery of Sony’s biggest grossing film ever. Sony declined to meet those terms. It was an aggressive stance by Disney, which already owns the merchandise on Spider-Man.
Flash by: Gabriel Chalut
The Big Question
We're left asking what will the new Spider-Man look like? Sony is planning two more installments of Spider-Man, but will they include previous director, Jon Watts? (A director previously guided creatively by Feige). Watts isn’t signed on for the next film as of right now.
Will tom Holland still wear the spidey suit? With a change in creativity and possibly a change in director, it is possible there might be another actor used. That would be a major disappointment to the films, especially considering Stan Lee himself explained previously how he felt Tom Holland was the perfect fit for Spider-Man.
Apparently, negotiations are ongoing, so let's hope for the best.
Comment your thoughts below. There's A LOT of Spider-Man memes floating around so feel free to drop those here too.

Are there any special considerations for folks over 40 getting new tattoos?
Yes, better late than never.
What is the most important thing people forget about getting a tattoo?
To tip the artist.
Does a tattoo hurt?
Nooooo; well, yes. It depends on each person’s pain tolerance and the pain is worth it. Just take breaks if you need to.
Will you regret your tattoos?
A tattoo is essentially a souvenir, it reminds you of where you were in life at the time you got that particular piece. You can’t regret something that meant something to you in that moment. And if you got a tattoo because you were drunk or not really thinking about it, you can get it covered up with something that’s adapted to who you are now; or keep it and remember you had a good time. Some people will tell you tattoos are stupid, but really each tattoo only has to mean something to you; not to people around you.
If you have tattoos can you only date other people with tattoos?
This is like asking if you have freckles can you only date people with freckles? Or, you have blonde hair does that mean you can only date other blondes? You’re looking for a significant other; not a twin. Obviously, don’t date someone who hates tattoos and won’t accept you the way you are but you don’t have to limit yourself to only dating other tattooed people.
